FolkMADS is thriving thanks to our wonderful dancers and musicians, the energy and enthusiasm of our volunteers, and the growing number of people who have discovered our weekly dances, and our special dance events including the Sage Assembly, FolkMADness Dance Camp, Boo Camp (hopefully again), and more.

How do I join the Board and how long would I serve?
- To join the Board of Directors, simply complete the Statement of Candidacy located at the bottom of this page by 11-29-25 @ midnight.
- Directors serve a two-year term.
When would my term start?
New Directors will serve two years, from January 2026 to December 2027.
What would be required of me as a member of the Board?
The requirements for becoming a Director are:
- An interest in promoting the purpose and mission of FolkMADS, to promote community awareness of and participation in traditional folk music and dance
- Membership in FolkMADS, and
- A willingness to attend at least half of the board meetings.
- Agreement to NM FolkMADS Dancer Code of Conduct.
- Participation on a committee to help us run smoothly.

Online voting will be held from 11-30-25 to 12-10-25
